PAP President expresses sadness at the news of the passing of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia

JOHANNESBURG, South-Africa, August 24, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- The President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) Hon. Bethel Nnaemeka Amadi, MP, expressed shock and sadness at the news of the untimely passing of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, H.E. Meles Zenawi.

The Hon. President of the PAP expressed his sincere condolences to the Government and peoples of Ethiopia on their sad loss, describing it as a loss for the whole continent.

Hon. Amadi said that ?with the death of H.E. Meles Zenawi, the African continent has lost a visionary leader, a most able negotiator and peace maker and a man who has led his country and people on the path of accelerated economic development and growth?, adding that ?the whole Continent is going to miss his wisdom?.

?On behalf of the Pan-African Parliament, we join our brothers and sisters in Ethiopia in their prayers to the Almighty God to rest his soul in eternal peace?, Hon. Amadi concluded.
