This month Toshiba Corp. and McAfee Co. Ltd. have been working together to offer the McAfee WaveSecure on probation for 30 days pre-installed on Toshiba Regza AT300/24C Tablet.
McAfee WaveSecure mobile security service designed to help consumers protect their smart phones or tablet form of virus threats that can eliminate or steal personal data. It will be available to Toshiba tablet users from late July in Japan.

With WaveSecure, Toshiba users can find a missing phone with alarm tracking and location, to prevent abuse by remote key and can erase memories of an important and personal data with remote backups. This an additional layer of technology that will help users enjoy a Toshiba lifestyle as their mobile devices without worry,? said Todd Gebhart, vice president of McAfee executive, as quoted by Japan Today, Sunday (07/10/2011).
McAfee WaveSecure equipped with an easy to use management console and web-based which enables users to quickly perform security tasks required to properly manage and protect the tablet.
If they Tablets are stolen or lost McAfee WaveSecure equipped with an alarm and remote location tracking function that allows users to protect their privacy. This security solution also comes with remote lock and remove (data deletion) function to prevent data from misuse.
In addition, remote backup and restore function makes it easy to automatically back up all data stored on the tablet. With unlimited backup capacity and capability to restore data when needed, users are free from worry when a sudden loss of data when using their tablets, but still maintain their privacy.
