How to Get Back Your Ex Long Distance Lover ? How To Get Ex ...

Q:? I had an amazing relationship with someone who actually lived far away. It was a long distance relationship but it really seemed to work. We would hook up at least once every month or two and everytime was amazing. Other than that we would communicate constantly through the week.

But then as life has it, he got busy, I got busy and before long we just weren?t even communicating.

Is there a way for how to get back your ex long distance lover that can really work and overcome that weird non-communication that seemed to form out of nowhere?

???

A: Most people are negative towards long distance relationships, saying they never can really work. But when they do work, as you?ve found out, they can be fantastic. All the little things that seem to clog up relationships unnecessarily are eliminated, and instead focus is placed on one another. The time spent becomes special and unique, since the time is usually limited and not an everyday/every week affair.

But of course there comes that point. How long can it go on before the distance creates a real distance in the relationship?

If you had something special that you want to rekindle from afar there are ways to get things going again.

Always remember, we live in a time now where communication is easier than ever. And very cheap. We can actually video chat with one another no matter where we live (practically).

The first thing I would do when trying to figure how to get back your ex long distance lover is to implement texts. There are entire get back with your ex texting programs you can use for resurrecting long distance relationships. The key with texting is that you are starting slow and building up.? In order to get your long distance guy back, you don?t want to immediately get on video chat. You want to send some simple texts and build up some STEAM. By the time you get to video chat, he will be very anxious to see you and hear your actual voice. That is, if you do the texting right (that?s why texting ex routines can be so important as they outline how to properly build up desire).

Once you get that desire going, you can either move on to video chat, or you can go straight for setting up your next actual physical contact trip. They key is getting that desire rolling again, and then, you can literally jump right back into where you were before in the relationship.

Remember, losing contact with long distance lovers is very common, and is often not the fault of the usual relationship problems. It?s more just a natural getting carried away with life thing, and once you get back in touch, things could once again pick up right where the excitement left off.

Gender bias in leading scientific journals

Fewer women than men are asked to write in the leading scientific journals. That is established by two researchers from Lund University in Sweden, who criticise the gender bias.

In the 30 August issue of Nature, researchers have published an article showing that a much lower percentage of women than men are invited to write articles in News & Views in Nature and Perspectives in Science.

"We believe that fewer women than men are offered the career boost of invitation-only authorship in each of the two leading science journals" says Daniel Conley, a researcher at Lund University.

The consequences are that women are not as visible as men and are not provided the same opportunities for career advancement. The loss of women in science constitutes a brain drain for society.

When Nature was criticized in 2005 for offering too few women the opportunity to write for the Insight section, Nature increased the proportion of women authors.

"Gender parity can be achieved if Nature and Science are willing to make the effort to include more women in their invitation-only sections" says Johanna Stadmark, also from Lund University.

Conley and Stadmark conclude that equality within scientific research has increased in recent decades and that women today in many ways have the same opportunities as men to work within this field. However, they still believe that there is more to be done.

"Examination of the proportion of men and women who are invited to participate in all areas of science, whether it is as an invited speaker, a workshop participant, or for Science and Nature, is only good scientific practice" adds Daniel Conley.

Who Built That? Republicans Sidestep Government's Role

" We Built It" - those were the defiant words painted all around the Tampa Bay Times Forum during last night's Republican National Convention opener. Inside the hall, the message was delivered on massive signboards and by country singer Lane Turner. Speakers - like Virginia governor Bob McDonnell and Ohio's Gov. John Kasich - made knowing allusions to it in their speeches to the party faithful.

And they're right. The construction of the arena, which has been home to the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning since Oct. 20, 1996, was very much a group effort. The "we," in this case, includes local taxpayers, who put up $86 million for the cause, along with the Lightning organization, which chipped in the remaining $53 million.

The phrase is a play on President Obama's benign, if bungled, comments about the role government plays in creating an environment for private business to grow and thrive. On July 13 he said:

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business - you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn't get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet. The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together."

The Romney campaign seized on the italicized bit, calling it proof the president believed all personal wealth was, and should be, tied to the whims of central government bureaucrats. On Aug. 16, a bakery in Virginia refused to serve Vice President Joe Biden because of the alleged slight.

But a turn of the phrase, from declaration to question - - "Who Built It?" or "Who rebuilds it after it breaks?" - tends to yield the same answer: "We" do.

"Every American deserves the opportunity of a limited, responsible government that performs its core functions well, and then gets the heck out of their way!" McDonnell said during his address last night.

McDonnell, though, should have few qualms with how Washington is spending American tax money. A recent Gallup poll showed that Virginia was home to more federal employees than any other state in the nation except neighboring Maryland.

A 2011 Bloomberg Government report showed that federal defense spending accounted for 13.9 percent of the state's GDP - that's $56.9 billion, the most in the nation, and equivalent to more than $7,000 per resident annually.

And when a terrible summer storm, called a "derecho," tore through the state earlier this summer, McDonnell turned immediately to Washington for money to help clean up the mess and rebuild infrastructure leveled by the squalls.

"We have determined that Virginia should meet all of the requirements for federal public assistance," the governor said. "Federal assistance is vitally important to help our localities recover significant costs associated with responding to the storms and keeping our citizens safe."

Last night, McDonnell sounded a different tune.

"The choice is clear," he told conventioneers, "the status quo of the entitlement society, or dynamic change to an opportunity society."

Just minutes before, Ohio's Gov. Kasich gave a peppy speech touting job growth in his state.

"I told you a minute ago that when we came into office, we were 48th in job creation," Kasich blared. "You know where we are today? We're fourth in American in job creation and No. 1 in the Midwest."

Kasich pegged the improvement to budget cuts he pushed through the state legislature, but the broader economic resurgence can be largely tied to the resurgent American auto industry, which has deep ties with suppliers in Ohio. Several independent reports say the auto industry was saved from crisis by a federal bailout that many Republicans opposed.

In 2010, it was Texas Gov. Rick Perry, then facing a primary challenge from Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, who told a Tea Party crowd protesting the president's stimulus spending bill that "if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that? But Texas is a very unique place, and we're a pretty independent lot to boot."

The stimulus passed and Texas is still a part of the United States. Less than a year later, when thousands of wildfires were burning a path through the state's blighted central plains, Perry made an appeal to the federal government for help.

"Texas is reaching its capacity to respond to these emergencies and is in need of federal assistance," the governor said in an April 2011 statement. "I urge President Obama to approve our request quickly so Texans can continue receiving the resources and support they need as wildfires remain an ongoing threat."

And when the help didn't come at the rate and volume Perry requested, he went public with his frustration.

"There is a point in time where you say, hey, what's going on here?" he said. "You have to ask, why are you taking care of Alabama and other states? I know our letter didn't get lost in the mail."

Bollywood plans biopic of boxing hero Mary Kom

A Bollywood film-maker is working on a movie about Indian boxing star and mother-of-two Mary Kom, whose bronze medal at the London Olympics cemented her status as a national hero.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali said Tuesday he was moved by the story of Kom, a poor farmer's daughter from the remote northeast of India who overcame the odds to become a five-times world champion and Olympic medallist.

"Here's a person so splendid, so inspiring, so wonderful," Bhansali told AFP. "Her story needs to be told to the world. It's a wonderful story of a fighter in life."

Bhansali, who directed the 2002 hit movie Devdas, said biopics were not made frequently in Hindi-language Bollywood, but he was "very, very moved" when he read the script.

He admitted he has not yet found an actor for the lead role.

"We'll be auditioning a lot of people for it. Let's see," he said.

Bhansali will be producing the film, while Omung Kumar, who wrote the script, will direct, with a scheduled release date in the the middle of next year.

Kom, 29, told The Times of India she hoped the film would improve ties between the marginalised northeast region where she comes from and the rest of the country.

Earlier this month, thousands of migrants fled from south and west Indian cities after rumours they would be attacked in retaliation for violence in Assam state, which lies in the volatile northeast.

Israel court says US activist not unlawfully killed

Reuters, file

U.S. citizen Rachel Corrie, 23, speaks through a megaphone to an Israeli army bulldozer before she was killed in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip on March 16, 2003.

By NBC News staff and wire reports

HAIFA, Israel -- An Israeli court rejected on Tuesday accusations that Israel was at fault over the death of American activist Rachel Corrie, who was crushed by an army bulldozer during a 2003 pro-Palestinian demonstration in Gaza.

Corrie's family had accused Israel of intentionally and unlawfully killing their 23-year-old daughter, launching a civil case in the northern Israeli city of Haifa after a military investigation had cleared the army of wrongdoing.

In a ruling read out to the court, judge Oded Gershon called Corrie's death a "regrettable accident," but said the state was not responsible because the incident had occurred during what he termed a war-time situation.

At the time of her death, during a Palestinian uprising, Corrie was protesting against Israel's demolition of Palestinian homes in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

"I reject the suit," the judge said. "There is no justification to demand the state pay any damages."

He added that the soldiers had done their utmost to keep people away from the site. "She (Corrie) did not distance herself from the area, as any thinking person would have done."

Rachel Corrie's parents Craig and Cindy and her sister Sarah, left, are seen prior to the announcement of the verdict at the Haifa district court on Tuesday.

Mom: 'I am hurt'
Corrie's death made her a symbol of the uprising, and while her family battled through the courts to establish who was responsible for her killing, her story was dramatized on stage in a dozen countries and told in the book "Let Me Stand Alone."

"I am hurt," Corrie's mother, Cindy, told reporters after the verdict was read.

Corrie's mother Cindy told a news conference after the court's decision that the bulldozer personnel had the "ability" and also an "obligation" to have seen that her daughter was in its path.

NBC station KING5: 'Rachel Corrie' aid ship boarded by Israelis

She said she hoped the lawsuit would help change Israel's policies regarding the demolition of Palestinian houses.

Cindy Corrie said that previously a senior Israeli soldier had said there were "no civilians in war."

"Rachel was in Gaza because there were and are civilians there, those who have rights and deserve protection," she added. "Rachel's right to life and dignity were violated by the actions of the Israeli military."

She said her daughter was a "rich thinker and a beautiful person" from "Olympia, Washington, USA," her voice breaking as she spoke.

The family's attorney, Hussein Abu Hussein, said that the court's decision was so close to the Israeli government's position that the state's lawyers could have written it themselves, according to The Jerusalem Post.

The U.K.'s Guardian newspaper reported that Corrie was with a group of international activists acting as human shields against the demolition of Palestinian houses.

"She was standing on top of a pile of earth," fellow activist and eyewitness Richard Purssell, from Brighton, U.K., said at the time, according to the Guardian. "The driver cannot have failed to see her. As the blade pushed the pile, the earth rose up. Rachel slid down the pile. It looks as if her foot got caught. The driver didn't slow down; he just ran over her. Then he reversed the bulldozer back over her again."

Few Israelis showed much sympathy for Corrie's death, which took place at the height of the uprising in which thousands of Palestinians were killed and hundreds of Israelis died in suicide bombings.

Rachel Corrie speaks during an interview with MBC Saudi Arabia television on March 14, 2003 in the Rafah refugee camp in the Gaza strip.

Corrie was from Olympia, Washington, and was a volunteer with the pro-Palestinian International Solidarity Movement.

Senior U.S. officials criticized the original military investigation into the case, saying it had been neither thorough nor credible. But the judge said the inquiry had been appropriate and pinned no blame on the army.

Reuters contributed to this report.

Pest Control Oregon - Getting Rid Of The Ants

Pest Control Oregon - Getting Rid Of The Ants

Request Reprint | Print | About Author | Report Problem | Tweet This Across the globe, ants are one of the top five pest nuisances that people have been suffering since time out of mind. In most temperate climates throughout the world, when springtime shows its blooming head, ant activity goes on the rise. Most people have had a run-in with one type of ant or another and sometimes the experience getting rid of these little critters proves to be a troublesome task. Often, good efforts and money do nothing to rid you of the problem. Ants are scavenger creatures always on the hunt for something to eat and will search relentlessly for any means to enter your home to find a good meal.

What To Do? There are several steps you can take in order to effectively get rid of ants and keep them away from your home including:

* Ants love spills, especially greasy ones. They are also particularly fond of discarded sweets and meets. Once the reconnaissance ants find your "gift," word gets out and the next thing you know you have an ant trail that seems to be a couple of miles long going both ways. The best advice is to always and quickly clean up spills never leaving any scrapes of food sitting on counter tops or on a floor. Often a greasy oven is a great attraction to ants and should be kept as clean as possible on a daily basis. * Always put your leftovers in a closed and well-sealed storage container, putting these in your refrigerator. * Do not leave containers of sugar, butter, honey, maple syrup or other items like these sitting around on your kitchen counter tops or tables because they will also attract ants, even if they are well-sealed there is always some type of spillage on the neck or body of the container. Try to keep these wiped down as well as stored in the refrigerator if possible. * It is also a good idea never to leave any pet food lying around on the floor for a prolonged period of time. Although you want your kitty or dog to have access to food when they are hungry, it is a better idea to remove the feed bowl once they are finished eating so no ants are attracted to dine with your pet. * Do not leave piles of paper lying about because these make great nesting areas for ants.

If your own efforts seem to be fruitless, it is best to call a professional pest control company to clean up your ant problem.
